Paul Avolio, president and co-founder of Latitude 34 Technologies Inc. is responsible for strategic planning, development and quality control for the company. He is a hands-on manager who ensures the success of every job by maintaining close contact with clients and overseeing the implementation of IT maintenance systems and support for clients.
Latitude 34 Technologies Inc. has grown dramatically since its inception in August 2006. Paul has taken the company from a small one-man operation out of his home to a full-service firm, now residing in its third office in Goleta. Starting from the ground up, through Paul’s excellent management and team of engineers, Latitude 34 Technologies Inc. now maintains over 400 clients from Carpinteria through Goleta. Paul has received many awards for his success including, Entrepreneur of the Year for 2008 by the Santa Barbara Technology and Industry Association, he was named as one of the Pacific Coast Business Times’ 40 under 40 for 2009, Entreprenuer of the Year 2010 by Goleta’s Finest and was most recently honored with the 2011 Spirit of Small Business Award by the Pacific Coast Business Times and Small Business Administration.
Prior to founding Latitude 34 Technologies, Paul was senior network engineer with Generation IX Technologies, Inc. in Los Angeles, where he had worked since 2002. As a senior network engineer, Paul was responsible for supporting small to medium sized businesses with all of their technology needs and had a specialization in working with private schools since his technical expertise covered both Macintosh and PC platforms.
Paul has had a passion for computers and technology ever since he was old enough to read and coordinate mouse movement! Proficient on the Macintosh platform from childhood, he consulted locally in Santa Barbara throughout high school. Paul’s professional technical knowledge and business experience expanded while working at Kinko’s for over seven years, first as a computer services customer rep, then as manager of a branch computer services team. In 2000 he was promoted to Kinko’s corporate headquarters in Ventura as tech support and network systems engineer supporting the branches and company-wide infrastructure at their Network Operations Center (NOC). He also graduated from a series of training programs where he became proficient in network infrastructure and gained certifications including: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), A+, Network+ and I-net+.
Paul continues to grow his knowledge and love of technology in his personal as well as professional life. An avid automator of all things technical he is always on the lookout to increase efficiency.
